Setting overdue function in NAV to send reminder email approval request

When the first time user sent the PR / PO for approval, the approval person received the email notification to approve the PR/PO,  but probably the approval person forget to approve the PR / PO.

The question is :

Is there any alert / notification again for the PR / PO that has not been approved yet by the approval person ?

The answer is YES. You can run the overdue function to send reminder email.

1. Set the overdue due date formula in the Approval setup. For example set “1D” for due 1 day after the approval request date or 1W for 1 week. Current setup is blank date or zero date means it due on the same day. Please consider on estimate how long is the approval process before consider as overdue and then setup accordingly. Once you do the setup, it will only take place for approval entry send after you do the setup.

2. Once setup is done, when required to send overdue reminder, administrator needs to go to the Approval setup screen and click on the “Send Overdue Mails”. System will check for all the OPEN approval entries, if the due date is smaller or equal to today date then it will send overdue email. There is no options to send only to certain open entries, it will auto send to all overdue entries.

Please take note, by default all the due date is on the same as request date (setup is blank date), when you run this function, ALL previous open approval will receive overdue mails.
