Go To function in Navision

Go To function.

In a card page, to look for a record having a certain value in a field, user can use the Go To function.

For example, to look for customer resides in specific city or country in customer card Open the customer card.

Press on CTRL+G or click on the Go To function in the Ribbon Action Tab top open the Go To dialog box

List Page in Navision

A list page displays content from a table in a list format. Most records is presented first in list places, one for each record type, such as Sales Orders, items, Cash Receipt journals, and Posted Sales Invoiced.

List places may be filtered by default configuration, for example: sales orders – Open will show list of outstanding sales order with “Open” status. User may set additional filter to limit the number of records shown in the list.
A list page contains of:
1. Ribbon
2. Filter pane
3. List
4. Sorting pane
5. FactBox pane

Role Setup in Navision ( NAV )

Sometime, native Navision WebClient menu is not the same with the one in Client Application. To make it available on the WebClient menu, we have to do Role setup.

Setting Navision Help F1 on client computer

When installing the Navision Client server application, probably you forget to configure for the help with function key F1. By default the Helpserver value will contain with your computer name, so when you are in a any menu and then press F1, the help menu does not appear. It is only appear error on your browser, like this below.

To setup client server NAV application,  from the setup directory, double click setup.exe , like in the picture below
