Setup NAV Client Server Application

To setup client server NAV application,  from the setup directory, double click setup.exe , like in the picture below

After running the setup.exe file, it will show the screen below :

And then click Next button to continue to the next screen

And then click I Accept to continue to the next screen. If you want to install a Demo version you can select Install Demo, If not you can select Choose an Installation option to install a production version.

If you select Choose an Installation option , the next screen will be like this below.

If you choose Developer option, the screen will be like this below.

 If you choose Client option, the next screen is like this below. You are being asked to entry the IP address of your Navision Server, below is only example of data how to entry for the setup, It may not work if you apply. The Service Name and Client Service Port is defined first time when your Navision vendor setting up the Navision server. They are not fixed for every company.

to have a more secure authentication, it is better to choose Credential Type : Microsoft Dynamics NAV User Password. For DNS Identity, you have to ask your vendor what DNS identity they define for your Navision server.

And then click Apply to continue. When installation completed, it will show the screen below.

And the click Close and Login with your user id and password. NAV has a default database named Cronus International Ltd.

Finish.
